Keane: Final Ball Needs to Improve Wed 20th Oct 2010 09:09
Town manager Roy Keane says his players need to improve the quality of their final ball after again failing to make their supremacy tell during the latter stages at Watford last night, having done much the same during the home defeat to Coventry on Saturday. The Blues boss also feels his side, who have scored only once in the first half in the league this season, need to be more consistent throughout matches.
Watford 2-1 Town Tue 19th Oct 2010 21:49
Skipper David Norris netted his fifth goal of the season but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Blues from falling to a 2-1 defeat at Watford. Town had been the better side up to a two-goal Hornets salvo just before the break and got back on top in the closing stages after Norris’s goal but were unable to grab the equaliser.
Keane: Scotland Can Score 20 Goals Tue 19th Oct 2010 14:00
Boss Roy Keane says he will be surprised if four-goal striker Jason Scotland hasn’t scored 15 or 20 times by the end of the season. Scotland has netted a goal every other game in the league for the Blues since moving to Portman Road from Wigan Athletic for £750,000 in August.

Keane Bemoans Lack of Goals Sat 16th Oct 2010 18:29

Town 1-2 Coventry Sat 16th Oct 2010 17:09
Jason Scotland scored his fourth goal for the Blues since his move from Wigan but it wasn’t enough to prevent Town from falling to a 2-1 home defeat to Coventry City. The visitors, previously without a win at Portman Road since 1994, were ahead through Clive Platt at half-time and went further in front via a Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty before Scotland pulled one back for the Blues, who pressed for an equaliser without success.
Keane: Harder to Break Into the Side This Year Fri 15th Oct 2010 15:39
Town boss Roy Keane says it’s harder for players to make it into his first team this season than it was last year. Young midfielder Billy Clark broke into the side towards the end of 2009/10 making two appearances from the bench but has yet to feature this season, while Argentinian midfielder Luciano Civelli is still to make a first team return after his knee injury.

McAuley: Italy Can Be Beaten Fri 08th Oct 2010 09:17
Linchpin Town defender Gareth McAuley says his Blues team-mate Tommy Smith has told him that Northern Ireland are capable of beating Italy in their Euro 2012 qualifier at Windsor Park this evening (Sky Sports One, 7pm). Smith’s New Zealand drew 1-1 with the Azzurri at the World Cup in South Africa as the then-holders crashed out at the group stage.
